Kernel Mode Linux

You've all heard of User-Mode Linux, which allows a Linux kernel to be run as an ordinary Linux user program with virtualized I/O. Well, Kernel Mode Linux is the opposite; it allows an ordinary Linux user program to run inside the Linux kernel's address space. The advantage is that you can mess around in kernel mode while using ordinary code, tools and libraries.
